PROJECT BRIEF & INTENDED AUDIENCE

The brief for this project was to create a video trailer to showcase New Earth Magic School’s first online program offering, Defragmentation.

The most aligned clients for this program are Intuitives, Healers, Starseeds and Spiritual Business Owners/Mentors who feel they have a strong mission and vision to create a new and better world. It was really important that the video resonated with these people specifically.

The trailer itself needed to have just enough information to give people a quick idea of some of the most important details. However, it was more important that the trailer connect emotionally than it provide lots of information.

This meant that the main focus and aim with the trailer was on creating the right mood, attracting the right people’s curiosity and drawing them in to want to find out more.

For people who do want more information, the call to action at the end directs them to a landing page with a longer, more informational version of the trailer and a detailed product brochure which answers further questions that people might have about it.

ABOUT THE IMAGERY

I chose imagery and audio that I felt communicated the true life changing power, profundity (and playfulness!) of this program and that would speak to the people it is meant for. Using video and audio from one of the teaching portions of the program itself, I meshed those clips with music, carefully selected stock imagery and custom designed slides and titles to create a full trailer.

Since this program is about creating a new and better world I began and ended with clips of planet earth, as well as having this imagery throughout the video to cement in that idea and focus.

Much of the imagery I was guided to was also about communicating what happens energetically but doing it in a visual way. I used clips that show movement of energy in different ways and forms.

I also had some dramatic, fantastical and eye-catching imagery which I felt evoked the correct emotions of curiousity, wonder and magic. All things I wished for the viewer to feel and experience so they would be drawn in to the video itself and then into finding out more about the program.

ABOUT THE MUSIC

The music I edited the video to had a dramatic, epic intro portion. From there the track has a feeling of steadily building. I felt that this summed up the energy of the program really well as the program creates dramatic shifts for the participants but is also about a building and growing process that happens over time. I felt this track captured both of those things perfectly.

It was also really important not to distract too much from the audio of the speaker and to allow people to connect with her and what she is saying too. Again, this track and it’s steady build supported this really well and allowed both the speaker’s words and the music to build to and meet at a dramatic finale in tandem.

PERSONAL NOTES

I am really proud of this creation. I feel it achieved the intended objectives of helping New Earth Magic School to more deeply connect with their most aligned clients for Defragmentation whilst maintaining the balance of infomation too. I feel that I created something which will resonates with the right people not just visually and emotionally, but on a deeper level too.
